Volkswagen’s head of commercial autonomous vehicle strategy says the cost of developing AVs isn’t worth it (what?!); Pittsburgh’s Mayor Bill Peduto lays the groundwork for Pittsburgh to become the epicenter of autonomous vehicle innovation, testing, and deployment; and I go on a rather lengthy rant on Tesla’s absurd claim of “full self-driving capability.”

In an article by Reuters, Volkswagen’s head of commercial autonomous vehicle services, Thomas Sedran, claims that AVs are simply too difficult and not worth it. What?!

Pittsburgh to become the epicenter of AV development

Pittsburgh’s Mayor, Bill Peduto has the greatest beard of any gentleman — certainly any mayor — in the world. This much is certain. Now, however, he’s also just signed an executive order to lay the foundation for establishing Pittsburgh as the epicenter of autonomous vehicle development.
